Make a difference. Build a career. Support your community. Full Life is seeking a full-time Employment Program Coordinator to join our team at a dynamic non-profit organization on Hawaii Island. This position plays a critical role in supporting people with developmental and intellectual disabilities by managing services, supervising staff, and promoting person-centered, community-based support, job coaching/development, and supervising job coaches. Full Life is seeking a full-time Employment Services Coordinator to join our team at a nonprofit organization serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities on Hawaii Island. This position supports individuals island-wide and supervises staff who provide employment-related services. Duties include, but are not limited to: Supervise and support Employment Services Direct Support Professionals to ensure quality service delivery and participant success. Provide person-centered employment services, including career planning, job coaching, workplace training, and ongoing employment support. Develop employment opportunities through employer outreach, job development, job carving, customization, and self-employment supports. Monitor participant progress through worksite visits, performance evaluations, and collaboration with employers to promote job retention and advancement. Support participants in developing self-advocacy, workplace communication, work readiness, transportation, and independent employment skills. Coordinate access to accommodations, assistive technology, benefits counseling, financial literacy resources, and other employment-related supports. Develop and facilitate instruction in career exploration, job readiness, self-advocacy, post-secondary education planning, and work-based learning experiences. Collaborate with families, employers, schools, the Department of Education (DOE), the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), and other community partners to support participant goals. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with agency, funding source, and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's Degree from an accredited school is required. A degree in a related field is preferred. If a bachelor's degree is outside of the Human Services or Education fields of study, one year of verifiable experience working with persons with disabilities is required. Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred Current TB clearance (or willingness to obtain before start). Current CPRFirst Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start). No history of abuse, neglect, theft, or other disqualifying convictions. Must pass a drug test and a criminal background check. Valid state-issued driver's license and automobile insurance.
