9-5 Monday-Friday with some nights and weekends About Foundation 2 Crisis Services Foundation 2 Crisis Services is a mission-driven, non-profit organization that provides critical crisis intervention and prevention services across Iowa. We operate a 24/7 crisis center, including phone, text, and chat services. We also operate an emergency youth shelter, mental health support groups, community-based crisis programs, violence prevention, training, and more. We have been saving lives for over 50 years. Overview of the role Assist youth ages 17-22 who are transitioning from the foster care system to adulthood under the Iowa Aftercare Services Network program (IASN) through case management. Facilitate Youth Team Decision Making meeting (YTDM) in compliance with IASN procedures. This includes responsibilities but not limited to prep meetings with clients, creating the transition presentation, set up YTDM meetings, conducting the meetings and provide follow-up documentation. Support young adults in the move toward self-sufficiency in the areas of education, employment, housing, health and interpersonal relationships as well as inspiring young people experiencing out of home placements to unleash their full potential for personal growth through self-driven advocacy. Experience in case management through strength-based perspective while engaging and empowering them to reach their potential. Experience building relationships and fostering trust with community partners. Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook for reporting and billing responsibilities. Benefits
  • The per hour/annual base pay for this position starts at $18.00, plus our generous benefit package of $12,000 per year.   • Bachelor's degree in a human service-field required.
  • And two (2) or more years relevant experience.
  • High comfort with computers with ability to type quickly and multi-task.
  • Excellent writing and grammar skills.
  • Valid driver's license and be insurable by the agency auto insurance policy.
  • Pass all background checks completed by Foundation 2 Crisis Services.
  • Submit copy of college degree or transcript as required by licensure for personnel file.
  • Successfully complete required trainings within required time periods.
  • Live within 50 miles of Cedar Rapids, IA.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in crisis services preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience working with and compassion for at-risk youth preferred.
  • Education or training in trauma-informed care preferred.
  • Experience in strengths-based practices preferred.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques preferred.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook for reporting and billing responsibilities.
  • Ability to clearly communicate emotional support to people in crisis preferred.
