Job Description
Program Coordinator - Career Events and Partnerships Coordinator (CS26-234) To build on a strong foundation of achievement and contribute to the realization of its ambitious institutional goals, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for the position of Program Coordinator - Career Events and Partnerships Coordinator (CS26-234) . What You Will Do Coordinates the logistics and activities for employer-related programs and CDC events, including management of multiple academic based career fairs in both the fall and spring semesters and the corresponding budgetary duties of each event. Supports employers with job postings, career fair registrations, contact creation and updates, interview schedules, and database and payment system troubleshooting, serving as a liaison between the Career Development Center and relevant constituents. Serves as part of the departmental database team with responsibilities for employer relations related functions within the system. Performs work related to employer relations programming. Runs data reports from the career services management system, compiles and analyzes data, and maintains records related to employer and student participation in Career Development Center activities. Provides operational and departmental support such as departmental tables and presentations, committee work, day-to-day operations support. All functions of this position are under the direction of departmental senior staff.
FLSA:
Non-Exempt 1. Bachelor's degree. 2. 1 year experience in an administrative capacity in university career services employer relations or human resources. Knowledge of general office practices and procedures; Knowledge of university career services employer engagement practices; Strong oral and written communication skills; Ability to compile, analyze, and summarize data; Ability to generate data reports using a relational database systems; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with high level of Excel proficiency; management of employer relations/human resources or career services and payment database systems including troubleshooting; Experience managing budgets; Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment; Strong organizational and time management skills; Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external constituents. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree. Experience supporting events; using social media for recruiting; creating and giving presentations; data collection and reporting; website management; conducting meetings in-person and virtually; knowledge of university recruiting best practices and job development for full-time and internship positions.Civil Service Information:
