As the Coordinator of Day Program and Community Support you ensure that people with intellectual, developmental, psychiatric and other disabilities are visible in society and are recognized as equal citizens. To learn more about this position, please read the summarized list of duties below:
  • Responsible for providing leadership, coordination, supervision and direction of a variety of functions within the Community Day Services (CDS)/Adult Learning Program.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Program that provides life skills and employment training services to persons with disabilities.
  • Ensure the orientation and training of new CDS staff.
  • Oversee the development and coordination of class and individual program schedules and work assignments.
  • Ensure high quality life skill development training and community integration opportunities for persons participating in the program.
Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in human services or Registered Nurse, minimum of two years of administrative and/or clinical experience in the field of disabilities, working knowledge of State regulations and the process of accreditation. Prefer minimum of two years of direct experience working with persons with developmental disabilities. Must have Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) status and Direct Service Personnel (DSP) status. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license and meets organization's insurability requirements. Employment with Bridgeway is conditional up completion of all background checks.
