General Purpose of the
Position :
Responsible for the direction and supervision of the survivor service programs of the agency, including the day-to-day operation of the comprehensive walk-in Domestic Violence Program and Sexual Assault Program, and all the associated grants of the program. Supervisor's Title :

Victim Services Associate Director, Case Manager/Counselor, Crisis Counselors, Crisis Advocates, Crisis Advocate/Counselors, Children's Advocate, Child Counselors, Child/Adult Counselors, Bilingual Advocate/Counselor, Preventionist, Training and Data Coordinator, Crisis Line Workers, Practicum Students/Social Work Advocates, and VS Volunteers. Essential Functions of the Job :
Has the specific supervisory authority over the administration of the DV and SA programs, as established. Implement all policies and programs as authorized by the Executive Director and required by the funding source. Has the primary supervisory responsibility for the activities of subordinates including new staff training, assignment of workloads and priorities, and evaluation. Manage the programs to ensure completion and submission of all required reports. Monitor all clients entering the programs through regular staff consultation. Provide clinical direct services supervision quarterly and as needed within 30 days of new adult counseling clients. Responsible for oversight and provision of assistance to all program staff for component development and client caseload specifics. Assist the Chief Executive Officer in seeking new sources of funds including grant preparation, and in guiding program development. Confer with state and federal funding officials on functional matters relating to victim services' programming. Understand and maintain client confidentiality as required by law and funding sources. Attend scheduled staff meetings to present program reports, quarterly Board meetings, and other meetings as assigned. Travel throughout the region is required in performance of job duties, in addition to training or other required activities. Assist the Fiscal Department with preparation of grant reimbursements in accordance with funder requirements. Prepare, review and be accountable for department budget. Other duties as assigned. Must be available to perform the essential functions of the job whenever scheduled to work. Must be able to move about to meet with clients, coworkers, court officials, and others to deliver advocacy, supervision, and outreach activities required by the program. Must be able to remain in a stationary position to work on a computer to enter documentation, to provide counseling and advocacy services, and to attend court and other proceedings. Must be able to pick up and hold documents and other common office items. Must be able to communicate and converse with clients, coworkers, and community partners to carry out assigned duties. Must be able to operate a computer to record and report data, and to communicate with staff, clients, volunteers, and community partners. Must be able to use a telephone to communicate with clients, coworkers, volunteers, and community partners. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle to provide required services in the community. Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or sociology, and five year's work experience in a social service field, three of which are administrative, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. License or Certification Required :
Must have a valid Illinois Driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
