Our agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to assist older adults, individuals with disabilities, and caregivers in accessing vital resources. The Information and Assistance Specialist will provide guidance, referrals, and advocacy while ensuring accurate record-keeping and follow-up support.Key Responsibilities:
Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person. Assess client needs and connect them with appropriate resources. Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal programs for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Document all client interactions in the agency's database. Assist clients with completing Benefit Access Applications and become a certified Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) counselor. Participate in outreach activities and educational events. Collaborate with community partners to expand referral networks.What We're Looking For:
Associates degree or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, or social service programs is a plus. Knowledge of the Older Americans Act Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
