IU Corps is a network of students and campus and community partners dedicated to addressing the world's most pressing challenges and meeting its most critical needs through service- and volunteer-related experiences, internships, research projects, and more. With over 230 student organizations engaged in service work on or off campus, 160 community engagement programs across more than 20 academic and support units, and over 200 service-learning classes offered each year, IU Corps is at the heart of Indiana University's commitment to community service and engagement. Job Summary The Part-Time Program Coordinator provides operational and relational support for IU Corps, a campus-wide unit that connects Indiana University Bloomington students with meaningful community engagement opportunities. IU Corps advances Indiana University's mission by helping students become engaged, productive, and responsible members of society through volunteerism. Department-Specific Responsibilities Manages contact accounts, opportunity postings, and engagement records within IU Corps Volunteer Central (GivePulse). Accurately enters, maintains, and reports data related to student participation, community partners, and program metrics. Screens volunteer and experiential learning opportunities and troubleshoot system-related issues for students, staff, faculty, and community partners. Serves as a primary point of contact for community organizations and campus partners, document interactions and milestones in the system. Cultivates and supports partnerships that result in volunteer and experiential learning opportunities for students. Supervises and supports student hourly employees, including task assignment, check-ins, and approval of timesheets. Coordinates logistics for IU Corps events, workshops, trainings, fairs, and community engagement activities. Assists with internal and external office operations and collaborate with the IU Corps Director on special projects as needed. Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED) Preferred Bachelor's degree in progress or completed.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required 1 year of experience in an administrative, customer service, or office support role (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Preferred Experience working in a higher education, nonprofit, or community-based organization. Event coordination or logistical support experience. SKILLS Required Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage data accurately in a high-volume environment. Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and commitment to customer service excellence. Ability to work collaboratively with professional staff, student employees, and community partners. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Teams; experience with CRM or database systems preferred. Experience supervising, training, or mentoring student employees or volunteers. Collaboration in a team environment. Preferred Experience using online databases, CRM systems, or volunteer management platforms (experience with GivePulse preferred). Demonstrated interest in community engagement, service-learning, or civic engagement. Working Conditions / Demands This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation. Additional Information Undergraduate students will not be considered for this role. Work Location Bloomington, Indiana. This is an in-person position. Advertised Salary $18.00 per hour Work Hours Approximately 15-18 hours per week during standard business with occasional evening or weekend events.
