Evansville State Hospital is one of the Indiana State Psychiatric Hospitals who are committed to the mission of Hope and Recovery. Residing on 88 acres on the east side of Evansville, Ind., our facility provides medical treatment for chronic mental illness and substance abuse disorders from our dedicated team of psychiatrists and advanced practice professionals. Active Treatment helps our patients achieve their goals directed towards living in the most non-restrictive environment possible. Our team of professionals assist our patients in the treatment process involving medical staff, nursing, psychology, social work, rehabilitation therapy and our community integration program. Evansville State Hospital continues to maintain accreditation through The Joint Commission as an Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital as well as Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services certification as a Psychiatric Medicare/Medicaid Hospital.Role Overview:
This position serves as an Acquisition Specialist, completing the tasks of requisitioning, receiving, and asset control in the Business Office of the State Psychiatric Hospital.Salary Statement :
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $39,000.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience. A Day in theLife:
The essential functions of this role are as follows: Research and compile information on specific aspects of the program such as procedures, needs and policies. Answer basic customer questions about program policies and procedures. Establish, organize, and maintain current and historical files related to the program. Collect information to help in the preparation of program reports, develop applications, prepare budget allocations and/or purchasing of consultative services. Maintain, organize, and monitor program assets. Schedule, prepare, and disseminate all program related training materials. Individuals in this role should minimally be able to articulate or demonstrate the following: General knowledge of the program area. Working knowledge of applicable legislation, guidelines, agency policy and professional standards and practices. Ability to research and compile specific topics related to program area. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to operate effectively in a group decision-making process. Tact in dealing with other agency personnel and the public. Specialized knowledge of accounting principles. A degree is not required. Individuals should have the ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
