This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide constructive alternatives to the juvenile justice system and empower local youth to thrive. Key Responsibilities:
Partner with the Teen Court Coordinator to manage day-to-day Teen Court operations, including handling referrals and conducting youth interviews. Recruit, train, and mentor volunteers to support Teen Court trials and educational workshops. Facilitate Teen Court hearings, ensuring proper procedures are followed, volunteers are coordinated, and sessions run smoothly. Support the Safe Place program by collaborating with local businesses and community partners, coordinating site participation, monitoring compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with Safe Place locations. Conduct regular site visits to ensure Safe Place locations remain accessible and prepared, and engage in community outreach, training, and awareness activities. Represent the organization in outreach efforts, sharing information about Safe Place and Teen Court with schools, businesses, community members, and other stakeholders.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (required). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong interpersonal and communication skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Fingerprint basedNational & State Criminal History Check Child Protective Services Check National Sex Offender Registry Check Local Criminal Court Records Check Computer Literacy TB Test Pre-Employment Physical & Drug Test Skills:
Strong networking and relationship-building abilities with community partners. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentations. Demonstrated cultural awareness, sensitivity, and commitment to inclusivity. Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accurate record-keeping practices.Shift Availability:
Flexible to work day and evening shifts, including weekdays and weekends, as needed.Benefits:
