Job Summary The Catalyst Conference facilitator will be responsible for facilitating small and large group sessions as well as some logistical planning on site for the conference. The Catalyst Conference is a high-energy, hands-on experience for FFA chapters ready to fuel change through service. This conference equips students and advisors with practical tools to identify authentic community needs, conduct community mapping, and build strong local partnerships. Through interactive workshops, practice scenarios, and hands-on service, students will practice real-world leadership skills: planning, communication, problem-solving, and evaluation, while advisors gain strategies to support and sustain chapter-led service initiatives. By the end of the conference, each chapter team will leave with a step-by-step plan to launch meaningful community service and service-learning projects back home with a renewed commitment to living the FFA motto, Living to Serve. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, presenting the conference curriculum, leading a small group, providing counsel, and motivating participants. Staff members are required to participate in virtual training prior to the conference. Preference is given to those with National FFA facilitation experience.

Essential Functions Must be able to coach, guide, and motivate participants. Must be able to lead both large and small groups. Must be able to perform the physical and mental demands of the position. Must be able to work independently and in groups. Must have excellent interpersonal, listening, and verbal communication skills. Must be able to interact and work with a diverse group of internal and/or external customers. Must be able to analyze and solve problems. Must be able to confidently use Microsoft programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc). Must be computer literate and be able to make and receive Zoom/phone calls. Must have personal access to, and be able to use, a computer or laptop. Must be willing to spend extra time planning for the conference.
