The Program Manager is also responsible for supervising volunteers with case preparation, review, coordination, and implementing conflict resolution services to clients of ICCR. Position Responsibilities Program Management Works with the Director to build and implement processes in program services about conflict resolution, community engagement, and violence reduction. Provides support in developing new ICCR initiatives, including timeline development, resource allocation, outcomes measurement, and data reporting. Identifies and analyzes new program opportunities, focusing on youth, family, and community-related conflict resolution practices. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality center services. Manages proposal process from start to finish, ensuring that initiatives and metrics of success standards and requirements are met. Develops, coordinates, and prepares Conflict Management training for new center volunteers, staff, and community partners and performs ongoing training for existing program affiliates. Administrative & Operational Support Performs intake and case-management services and works with customers to increase their awareness and understanding of the mediation process and/or other conflict resolution services offered by the Center. Utilizes Apricot to manage caseload, track data, and run reports for the center and it's clients. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Fosters positive working relationships with co-workers, other City agencies, and the public using principles of good customer service and demonstrating the core values of ICCR. Assists ICCR staff as needed with community engagement preparation, event attendance, and other duties pertaining to the center's participation in community events or conferences as assigned by the Director. Enhances department and foundation reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Assists with and attends neighborhood/community organization meetings as requested. Acts as liaison among foundation program department groups, teams, staff, and the Director to communicate information as requested. About Indy Public Safety Foundation (IPSF) & ICCR The Indy Public Safety Foundation (IPSF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing public safety and quality of life in Indianapolis through philanthropic support for public safety agencies, innovative community-based programs, and collaborative partnerships. IPSF implements a comprehensive public safety approach that integrates both violence prevention and intervention strategies. This includes Indy Peace, a community violence intervention program serving individuals at highest risk of gun violence, and the Strategic Prevention Division, which delivers programs designed to prevent violence, strengthen community relationships, and address underlying drivers of harm. The Indy Center for Conflict Resolution (ICCR) is a core program within the Strategic Prevention Division. ICCR provides accessible, community-based mediation, conflict coaching, and training services across Marion County. The program plays a critical role in preventing the escalation of interpersonal and community conflict and works in coordination with Indy Peace and other IPSF programs to ensure a seamless continuum of support. Position Summary The Program Manager for the Indy Center for Conflict Resolution (ICCR) is responsible for the implementation, delivery, and ongoing development of community-based conflict resolution services. This position provides direct mediation and conflict coaching services, facilitates training, and builds partnerships to expand access to conflict resolution resources. The Program Manager serves as a key leader in advancing IPSF's violence prevention strategy by reducing conflict escalation, strengthening community capacity, and supporting alignment between prevention and intervention efforts. This role requires strong facilitation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complex interpersonal and community dynamics. Core Responsibilities Program Delivery and Direct Service Facilitate mediation sessions involving a range of conflicts, including but not limited to neighbor, family, and landlord-tenant disputes Provide one-on-one conflict coaching to support communication, problem-solving, and de-escalation skills Apply trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and restorative approaches in all service delivery Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of cases, agreements, and outcomes Training and Capacity Building Develop and deliver training on conflict resolution, mediation, de-escalation, and trauma-informed communication Provide training to community members, public safety partners, and service providers Support the development of tools and resources that increase community capacity to manage conflict effectively Outreach and Partnership Development Establish and maintain relationships with referral partners, including law enforcement, courts, housing organizations, schools, and community-based organizations Promote awareness and accessibility of ICCR services throughout Marion County Represent ICCR and IPSF in community meetings, events, and partner engagements Program Development and Systems Coordination Strengthening referral pathways between the Strategic Prevention Division and Indy Peace Identify opportunities for early intervention in conflict situations Contribute to program improvement, service design, and strategic planning efforts Support data collection, reporting, and evaluation activities Key Performance Metrics (KPMs) Number and quality of mediations and conflict coaching sessions completed Resolution rates and reduction in repeat or escalated conflicts Number of training courses delivered and participants reached Participant feedback and demonstrated knowledge or skill development Growth and effectiveness of referral partnerships Coordination and alignment with Indy Peace and Strategic Prevention programs Cross-Program Responsibilities (Strategic Prevention Division) Participate in cross-training and collaborative initiatives across Indy PAL, Indy Champions, and ICCR Support division-wide outreach efforts, events, and community engagement activities Contribute to shared performance goals and impact tracking Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for integrated service delivery Represent the Strategic Prevention Division in internal and external settings as needed Minimum Qualifications Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Experience working with individuals and communities impacted by conflict or violence Demonstrated ability to engage diverse populations and navigate complex interpersonal situations Strong organizational and administrative skills, including data entry and case documentation Preferred Qualifications Experience in mediation, conflict resolution, social work, counseling, or a related field Training or certification in mediation or restorative practices Experience delivering training or facilitating group sessions Familiarity with trauma-informed care and community-based service delivery models Leadership Competencies Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills Effective facilitation and public speaking abilities High emotional intelligence and ability to remain composed in high-conflict situations Sound judgment and adherence to confidentiality and ethical standards Ability to build and sustain partnerships across diverse stakeholders Strategic thinking and ability to align program efforts within a broader system Commitment to equity, nonviolence, and community-centered approaches Work Environment and Expectations This position requires regular travel throughout Marion County Work is conducted in a variety of settings, including IPSF offices, community locations, and partner sites Schedule flexibility is required, including evenings and occasional weekends Compensation and Benefits Full-time W-2 position Competitive salary commensurate with experience Benefits include health, dental, vision, and paid time off (PTO) Mileage reimbursement provided at the IRS rate Additional Information IPSF is a nonprofit organization and not a public agency or City employer Employment is at will and may be terminated at any time
