Job Description
First Merchants Bank is seeking a Talent Management Program Coordinator to join our team! This position will be responsible for coordinating and administering key talent programs, early career initiatives, and employee lifecycle activities. This role ensures consistent execution, strong cross-functional collaboration, accurate tracking, and a positive experience for candidates, new hires, employees, and leaders. The position plays a critical role in operationalizing Talent Management priorities while supporting broader Talent Acquisition and HR partnership efforts. As part of this role you will: Early Career & Pipeline Programs Coordinate and support the College Internship Program, including scheduling, communications, onboarding coordination, and stakeholder support. Manage the High School / Secondary Education Apprenticeship Program, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with internal partners. Coordinate the Veteran Apprenticeship Program, supporting program logistics, participant tracking, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Engagement & Experience Programs Support and administer the Ambassador Program, including coordination, communication, and ongoing program upkeep. Coordinate Welcome Boxes for New Hires, ensuring timely delivery and a positive onboarding experience. Conduct New Hire Check-Ins (120-day touchpoints) and track outcomes to support retention and engagement. Coordination, Scheduling & Tools Manage the You Belong Here and Leadership Live Call scheduling and coordination, ensuring seamless execution and communication. Maintain and update the TA LaunchPad page, ensuring content accuracy, relevance, and accessibility. Support Agency Collaboration, acting as a liaison to ensure alignment, consistency, and effective communication. Talent Operations, Data & Reporting Support M&A Talent Acquisition management activities, including coordination, tracking, and communication. Conduct and report on exit and retirement conversations, ensuring appropriate documentation and insights. Track leaver reasons, maintaining accurate records to support workforce planning and analysis. Manage turnover tracking and reporting, providing insights and summaries to HR and Talent leaders. Additional Responsibilities Maintain project / program trackers, documentation, and reporting dashboards related to talent programs. Coordinate meetings, capture action items, and follow up on deliverables across talent initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and employee experiences. Ensure compliance with established processes and consistency across Talent Management activities. To be successful in this position, we require the following: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, or a related field or equivalent: Associate Degree/Two years of College + Two (2) years of related work/military experience OR four (4) years of work related/military experience 2-4 years of experience in HR operations, project or program coordination, Talent Acquisition, or Talent Management. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Excellent communication, coordination, and follow-through skills.
