Summer Program Supervisor—PART TIME
( 26 hours a week)Reports To:
Program Director This person will be required to work well with middle school aged students in the SPARK program located at Haysville Middle School. We have a position open for our summer program. We focus on enrichment activities while enhancing academics during the summer for kids. We need creative, flexible individuals to join our team.Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GEDExperience:
Valid state Driver's License Experience working with youth preferred CPR/First Aid Certification preferredSkills:
Ability to plan, implement, and lead activities for middle school youth in the summer program. Ability to motivate youth to engage and participate in activities. Ability to promote positive behavior and manage behavior problems. Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment. Ability to work in a busy, fast paced environment and demonstrate flexibility. Ability to educate youth through games and activities.Environment & Working Conditions:
Specific Program Area:
Working with students in the summer program to actively engage and participate in scheduled activities. Activities are both indoors and outdoors, including field trips and other offsite activities. .Duties & Responsibilities:
Promote and stimulate program participation. Provide guidance and role modeling to members. Quickly administer discipline when needed, in a fair manner in accordance to SPARK rules. Monitor and evaluate programs and activities to ensure safety of members, quality of programs and appearance of SPARK at all times. May need to participate in special programs and events. Generate ideas for program activities and take initiative to develop new activities.
