This position manages client intake processes, program compliance, staff oversight, and case management services. The Housing Stability Program Manager serves as a leader within the program, ensuring quality service delivery, adherence to program procedures, and successful participant outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Management Coordinate and manage all new veteran intakes into the HHG. Ensure program procedures, documentation requirements, and participant services are completed in accordance with agency policies and program standards. Monitor participant progress from admission through program completion. Maintain accurate and timely records in all required systems and databases. Assist in the development and implementation of program improvements and best practices. Case Management Perform all duties and responsibilities outlined in the Case Manager job description. Maintain a manageable caseload of veterans, with an emphasis on serving participants facing significant barriers to housing stability and self-sufficiency. Complete comprehensive assessments and individualized service plans for assigned veterans within seven (7) days of program admission. Provide ongoing case management, resource coordination, advocacy, and support services. Monitor participant progress and adjust service plans as needed to promote successful outcomes. Staff Supervision and Training Provide oversight, support, and guidance to Veteran Support Specialists (VSS) during assigned shifts. Ensure assigned duties and responsibilities of VSS staff are completed accurately and timely. Assist with onboarding and training of newly hired Veteran Support Specialists. Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and supervision to VSS staff as needed. Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. Program Compliance and Facility Oversight Ensure completion and documentation of required fire drills. Coordinate and monitor UA (Urinalysis) and BA (Breathalyzer) testing assignments as required by program policies. Ensure room inspections are completed according to program standards and schedules. Monitor compliance with safety, facility, and program requirements. Report incidents, concerns, and program issues to leadership in a timely manner. Additional Responsibilities Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities. Maintain professional boundaries while fostering a supportive environment for veterans. Perform other duties as assigned to support agency operations and participant success. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred; OR a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience working in case management, housing services, veteran services, behavioral health, social services, or a related field. Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain certification within required timeframe. Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency driving requirements. Ability to pass required background screenings and maintain a drug-free workplace. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail. Knowledge of case management principles, community resources, and housing stability services. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to effectively engage and support veterans from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency with computer systems, documentation requirements, and data entry. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed. Ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations within the facility. Ability to travel locally for participant services, meetings, or trainings when required. Work Environment This position operates within a residential veteran housing environment and requires regular interaction with veterans, staff, community partners, and service providers. The Housing Stability Program Manager must maintain a professional demeanor while supporting veterans in a structured yet supportive environment.
