community members

+ Regularly attend and participate in OCRTIX Education & Training Programs team meetings, review assessment data and adapt training materials/practices in response to data. + As applicable, review training offerings and educational resources, providing thoughtful and detailed feedback to OCRTIX team and campus stakeholders. + Broaden One University knowledge and understanding of OCRTIX with innovative materials and strong campus partnerships. + Identify need for, and distribute new outreach materials (presentations, posters, tabling, handouts, etc.) for OCRTIX in partnership with other OCRTIX team members. + Identify need for materials in response to emerging needs and trends (e.g., in response to intakes) at Wichita, KLETC , and Salina campuses. + Assist Case Manager and other members of OCRTIX in creating and maintaining list/knowledge of resources for all campuses and instructional sites. + Provide assistance and support to Directors of Program Alignment with heritage month and series programming for all campuses, as needed. Clery Responsibilities
  • 20% + Assist the Director of Clery Compliance (Director) and Clery Program Coordinator with the University of Kansas Clery Act Compliance program.
Maintain, implement, update, and communicate KU's Clery Compliance policies, program, activities, and procedures internally and externally. + Act as a liaison to campus departments, local law enforcement agencies, and the state police, in formulation of data records, facilitate information sharing, and compilation of annual reports. Analyze, interpret, and consolidate data from these sources with information and policies from various sources. + With the Clery Program Coordinator, work with the appropriate departments to identify all Campus Security Authorities and maintain a list of them for each academic year. Provide, facilitate, or manage the training of identified Campus Security Authorities, collaborating with appropriate offices. + Coordinate with the appropriate campus departments to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations. + Work with the institutional police departments/public safety records division to ensure proper classification of crime incident reports. + Collaborate with the Director to ensure compliance with the "Emergency Notification" and "Timely Warning" requirements of the Clery Act. + Work with various institutional offices to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act ( DFSCA ), Safe Campus, Stop Campus Hazing Act, Violence Against Women's Act ( VAWA ), and Sexual Assault Victim's Bill of Rights. OCRTIX Intakes
  • 20% + Receive reports about discrimination, harassment, sexual violence, and/or related retaliation.
Provide those reports to Associate Vice Chancellor & Title IX Coordinator for OCRTIX for appropriate outreach and processing. + Meet with complainants of reports to explain OCRTIX , explain processes, discuss the report, explore support measures, and perform appropriate follow-up. + Provide assistance to complainants as they consider available options (e.g., support measures, informal resolution, and/or whether to submit a formal complaint). + Utilize conduct management software (Maxient and departmental drive), to perform appropriate administrative management of assigned intakes. Drug Free Schools and Communities Act ( DFSCA ) Responsibilities
  • 10% + Communicate and coordinate with campus partners regarding DFSCA compliance and distribution of reports. + Gather information to support Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program ( DAAPP ) and Biennial Review Report ( BRR ) document preparation. + Assist campus partners in achieving greater compliance with DFSCA as well as accomplishing goals established in BRR . Other duties as assigned
  • 10% + Participate in rotation with other staff on job searches and campus committees, as needed. + Regularly attend full OCRTIX staff meetings, as well as supervisor 1:1s. + Assist other staff members with special projects when needed. + Other duties as assigned. As the OCRTIX and its work advance on campus, position responsibilities may shift or change to meet office/staff needs.
  • Percentages are flexible and differential allocations can be made at any time, at the supervisor's discretion, in response to changing departmental needs or developments.

This position is primarily located in Wichita, but some travel between the campuses will be necessary.

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Social Work, Emergency Management, or related field. 2. Strong written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated through application materials and/or references. 3. Three (3) years' experience with Microsoft office suite products and databases. 4. Four (4) years of experience working in higher education, preferably with procedural or policy administration, data analysis and reporting, or other related compliance activities. 5. One (1) year experience handling confidential information. 6. Two (2) years' experience giving professional presentations and/or in public speaking roles. This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have advanced knowledge, analytical skills and professional competencies necessary to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is commonly recognized as the standard qualification for similar roles in the public and private sector, ensuring that the university remains competitive with industry aligned practices, enhances collaboration with external partners, and supports the delivery of services and programs that meet professional and market-driven expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:
