Job Summary and Qualifications The Trauma Program Manager (TPM) works with the Trauma Medical Director (TMD) and hospital leadership to assure optimal trauma patient care services, quality outcomes and compliance with standards for Trauma Center designation and verification. The TPM strives to achieve successful outcomes for all care and programs associated with the trauma service, serves as operational director for all program initiatives and requirements. The TPM is involved with administrative operations, financial support, clinical services, educational activities, outreach initiatives, and research activities of the Trauma Center. This position maintains responsibility/accountability for 24-hour day management. What you will do in this role: Develop standards of performance, evaluation, and supervision of the Trauma Center's clinical support staff. Monitor clinical processes, outcomes, and system issues related to the quality of care provided. Develop quality filters, audits, and case reviews to identify trends and events. Act as an agent for the Trauma Medical Director to assure compliance with regional, state, and national trauma statutes and regulations. Coordinate efforts between local and regional trauma systems. Manage the operational, personnel, and financial aspects of the trauma program. Represent the trauma program on various hospital, local, state, and national committees to enhance and foster optimal care management.What qualifications you will need:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing- required Master's Degree in Nursing or related health field
- preferred 3+ years experience in Nursing
- required 3+ years experience in Trauma Nursing
- required Experience in Quality/Performance Improvement
- preferred Experience in Project Management
- preferred is a full-service, 150+ bed acute care hospital and ER.
