Full Job Description About Us:
The Gerard House is a residential maternity group home for youth who are in foster care, are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, offers a secure and health-focused beginning for pregnant and parenting teens aged 10-21 and their babies. Gerard House provides residential care, pre-and post-natal support, parenting and healthy relationship education, life skills training, nutritional education, and other supportive programs to ensure a healthy pregnancy/delivery and parental attachments. We also offer on-site daycare for our youths' children while their parents work, attend school, or receive services.
Position Overview:
Duties Serves as Gerard House Program Manager ensuring the program maintains the WCH biopsychosocial model of care that is based on the principles of trauma-informed and restorative practice to confirm residents receive youth- centered, optimal care including victim services. Supervises a multi-disciplinary staff; confers with staff regularly regarding techniques used and case progress, plans, organizes, evaluates and directs the programs, staff and activities while meeting the objectives of the VOCA grant. Oversees continuous quality management of the department programs under the purview of departmental policies and procedures, contracted private agencies, state and federal agencies, and grant rules and regulations. Collaborates, coordinates and advocates with other community professionals, servicing agencies, clients and families to ensure service plan implementation and/or linkage services. Reviews and monitors departmental activities within regular intervals for effective improvements that have been adopted and implemented as strategies towards best practice standards. Ensures that procedures necessary to effectively track and gather data for internal and external reports, including grants, are developed and consistently implemented. Insures the timely submission of such reports. Reviews client records to assess and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, standards of care and victim services. Accepts on-call status to assist program staff in handling crisis situations and to maintain an atmosphere of safety and support in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
Required:
2-3 years related experience Bachelors degree in a related field
Preferred :
Master Social Worker preferred Prior supervisory experience preferred
