Job Description:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are customary for this position but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs. Oversee the remaining loans within the Federal Perkins Loan portfolio Work with collection agencies for Perkins Loan and past due tuition accounts Maintain obligations on the Banner student system Maintain postponement, cancellation, hardship and deferment forms in compliance with Federal regulations as well as processing the forms for the Federal Perkin Loan Program Communicate with other staff, students and the public Collect past due tuition and other accounts including developing, implementing and maintaining the pre-collect process for the University, coordinating with university departments, counseling students and families, and monitoring payment agreements Deliver daily cash deposit to bank and handle change orders; act as liaison with university banking officials and university departments on items such as credit card acceptance and PCI compliance. Oversee credit card merchant process for university. Scans check deposits daily. Serve as back up for the Assistant Director, Cashiers and Collections for daily cashiering, reconciling, and credit card transactions Maintain and update bankruptcy notifications for past due balances in Banner Provide back up to all areas within Office of Student Billing and Account Services to include assisting with phone calls and customer service, front counter, cashiering functions, etc. Reconcile departmental procurement card, prepare various payment documents, and review daily audit report Maintain procedures manual Assist with 1098T process Assist students and families with all aspects of refunds through BankMobile and act as a liaison between the university and BankMobile. Represents the Office of Student Billing and Account Services at university orientation programs and other functions Assist the Assistant Director, Cashiers and Collections and other duties as assigned Knowledge and Skills Considered Essential for
