Job Description

Role:
Directly supervised by a program coordinator of University Connect and Persist (UCAP), this position supports the Coordinated Care student success initiatives of the University. The coordinator will utilize proactive outreach strategies to identify and engage with students in need of support. The coordinator will likewise interact with faculty and staff, primarily in the division of Academic and Student Affairs and the Office of Student Financial Aid and Student Account Services to support retention and persistence efforts. This position will implement University student success programming by: maintaining a student caseload; utilizing campus wide student success platforms; collaborating with campus support services to address critical student needs; promoting and facilitating success networks; assisting with the development and implementation of innovative and proactive outreach strategies; presenting to campus constituents. This position helps support UCAP & Care Closet programs such as Textbook Lending @ Steely, Access Code applications, UCAP & Gown, etc. as well as support

as needed. Direct Student Service Respond to faculty/staff/administrators referring students who are at-risk for attrition; meet with individual students to provide intensive intervention and assist with establishing goal-oriented strategies; target at-risk students to engage in retention related activities; meet with a caseload of students receiving scholarship/grant awards; review scholarship renewal requirements and make recommendations at year's end. Monitor student progress toward academic and financial goals; align student academic goals with their financial plan; provide liaison services to connect student with support systems across campus; provide updates on student progress to referring faculty, staff and administrators; review student caseload with program coordinator; monitor progress and provide academic/other intervention for students at risk of losing awards; and other duties as necessary. Program Management Work collaboratively with UCAP team, FUEL NKU program coordinator and Care Closet personnel to help deliver basic needs resources to students; support UCAP and Care Closet programs as appropriate ​ Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 4 years of related experience required. Or a master's degree and 2 years of related experience. Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to interact with students, staff and faculty at all levels and work as a team Strong initiative, and student service/ success oriented.
