Job Description

Lindsey Wilson University (LWU), a United Methodist-affiliated institution located in south-central Kentucky, invites applications forthe position of Instructor or Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Agribusiness. LWU's 200-acre hilltop campus in Columbia,Kentucky, rests within the agricultural region of the foothills of Appalachia and offers access to a range of outdoor recreationalopportunities. Built to honor our region and the heritage of Kentucky agriculture, Lindsey Wilson's new Agribusiness B.A. will equipstudents with the analytical, managerial, and entrepreneurial skills needed to lead the next generation of agricultural enterprise. Thisdegree is designed to give students a direct pathway into the wide range of careers that power today's agricultural economy, not only farmownership and management, but careers like crop insurance, agricultural lending, ag sales, supply chain coordination, commodity marketing,equipment operations, and agribusiness consulting. The preferred candidate will have expertise in integrative and experientialpedagogy. They will hold a terminal degree in Agribusiness or a closely related field; applicants holding an M.A. in Agribusiness or aclosely related field with an exceptional history of teaching or professional experience may be considered. The successful candidate willprovide academic and administrative oversight for all aspects of the program. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to developingand teaching courses to support the major, facilitating relationships with regional agribusiness enterprises and school districts, andprogram assessment.
