BENEFITS QUESTIONS About this Job This is a full-time position with the Council for Development of French in Louisiana located in Lafayette, LA. This position works in the Council of Development of French in Louisiana within the Office of Cultural Development. This position works in an administrative capacity to encourage community engagement, promote the office of CODOFIL and the use of French in schools and businesses, and assists in managing campaigns to promote French in Louisiana. The candidate for this position must speak French fluently, as determined by the Executive Director of CODOFIL. The Council for the Development of French in Louisiana (CODOFIL) is the state's official Agency of Francophone Affairs. CODOFIL is part of the Office of Cultural Development within the Department of Culture, Recreation, and Tourism. Our staff works to advance the French language in the state through scholarships, French immersion, community projects, and economic development initiatives. Minimum Qualifications Five years of experience in the coordination of cultural development programs; arts administration, fine arts, or curatorial work; or planning or teaching an educational fine arts program; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in the coordination of cultural development programs; arts administration, fine arts, or curatorial work; or planning or teaching an educational fine arts program; OR A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in the coordination of cultural development programs; arts administration, fine arts, or curatorial work; or planning or teaching an educational fine arts program; OR An advanced degree plus one year of experience of experience in the coordination of cultural development programs; arts administration, fine arts, or curatorial work; or planning or teaching an educational fine arts program.EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Facilitate the expansion of Excel Louisiane, the online catalog of Louisiana businesses that offer services in French. Guide prospective businesses concerning the Excel Louisiane program. Maintain an accessible network to identified French-friendly businesses, events, and organizations. Consult with businesses to encourage more French-friendly businesses, events, and organizations. Consult with businesses to encourage more French-friendly practices, including hiring practices. Identify public servants who speak French in order to assist French-speaking tourists visiting Louisiana. Assists the ED in the organization of visits from CODOFIL's international partners, including diplomatic protocols. Promote partnerships between Louisiana francophone communities and the international francophone community. Work with international partners in implementing B2B best practices and partnerships in common fields such as agriculture, aquaculture, cultural events, and educational programs. Implement special programs in French-speaking communities that connect local businesses and elementary schools through business and education partnerships. Foster a relationship with cultural and business stakeholders, the business community, government agencies (including Louisiana Economic Development), and the broader community to advance the place of French. Encourage and guide CRT offices utilizing French in activities and public interpretations. Implement and support partnerships with international parties according to respective Cooperative Agreements. Coordinate with French teachers in Louisiana high schools on the annual CODOFIL Award. Manage campaigns promoting the use of French in businesses. Encourage the creation of French-language media businesses and creative content. Develop and consult on market analysis tools and research process. Assist in fulfilling any other duties assigned by the executive director of CODOFIL.Position-Specific Details:

This is a full-time position that reports in office. This position may be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or overtime. This position may be required to travel.
