LA Bureau of Family Health Job Family:
Clinical Systems and Programs To apply, please submit both a resume and a cover letter. The Bureau of Health is seeking a Program Coordinator for its Louisiana Perinatal Quality Collaborative (LaPQC). The Program Coordinator provides day-to-day support to the LaPQC's initiatives, activities and designation systems. This position is domiciled in New Orleans, Louisiana. Some travel will be required.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the LaPQC and its related initiatives by supporting the coordination of its activities, reporting requirements, and assisting with the preparation of funding proposals.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of virtual and in-person meetings, trainings and events.
  • Coordinate staff and physician training/education, including continuing education.
  • Coordinate quality designation program processes, including administering surveys, developing reports and communicating with participating facilities.
  • Design content and materials for key partner engagement; work to ensure that materials, meetings, learning sessions, and other encounters with partners are highly polished, effective, and consistently updated.
  • Ensure work is informed by an understanding of health equity and drivers of disparities in outcomes.
  • Manage maintenance of LaPQC website, calendars and general emails.
  • Manage participating facility contacts lists and other programmatic dashboards.
  • Support synergistic efforts across LaPQC initiatives and activities.
  • Keep abreast of national efforts, evidence-evidence practices and the field; collect, synthesize, and present data from relevant initiatives; conduct literature reviews and analysis of policies that should be considered in Louisiana.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with a variety of partners.
  • Act as a liaison between the hospital or facility contact and the LaPQC and Bureau of Family Health leadership.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of team projects.
  • Assist with writing and managing grants.
  • Facilitate meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • attention to detail

  • ability to develop internal and external documents and communications
  • familiarity with equity, diversity, and inclusion principles and practices
  • strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google suite applications

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Master's degree
  • prior experience managing or supporting complex, large-scale projects
  • working within or for clinical spaces
  • experience with website management platforms
  • knowledge or experience with public health
  • public health programming, quality improvement, quality improvement initiatives, public administration, communications
  • grant writing and grant management
  • ability to synthesize complex information into simple concepts for diverse audiences
Monitoring Plan:
  • Work products will be reviewed for timeliness, quality, innovation, and substantive impact.
  • The Bureau of Family Health (BFH) Clinical Services Team Lead or designee will monitor.
