QUALIFICATIONS
Massachusetts Certification as an Administrator or Principal/Assistant Principal or willing to enroll in an accredited certification program.
Master's degree from an accredited institution in the area of education.
Massachusetts Certification as a Teacher- Early Childhood and/or Elementary.
Five years of successful teaching experience at the elementary level in an urban environment.
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform and multi-task in a highly energized work environment.
Ability to withstand strong public and professional scrutiny.
Equipped with personal characteristics required to lead people through an intense change process.
Strong commitment to work on school redesign team.
Proven ability to work with all types of data related to school improvement and underperformance.
Willingness to self-reflect and to grow professionally.
Understanding of the federal education law, Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
Proficient in Microsoft applications of Word, Excel, and Power Point. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in leading school-based leadership team in defining short- and long- term goals and objectives as part of the school redesign.
Assist in monitoring, coordinating, and organizing the total educational program at the school level.
Utilizes data management systems to collect, analyze, and interpret data which focuses on progress in student achievement.
Utilizes and supports teachers, students, and families in their use of the district learning management system (LMS).
Responsible for the implementation of all School Committee policies and regulations within his/her area of responsibility.
Assists in providing leadership in the implementation of district curriculum.
Assists with monitoring school-level performance, data analysis, and redesign development.
Promotes school-wide goals and initiatives in the area of curriculum, instruction and professional development.
Assists in implementing appropriate assessment systems and utilizing performance data to guide decision making.
Assists with allocating materials, equipment, and space to accomplish instructional goals at his/her school in accordance with district policy and program requirements.
Prepares reports and recommendations as requested.
Monitors the implementation of all aspects of Mass. Education Reform, including Department of Elementary and Secondary Education regulations.
Supervises and evaluates all professional and paraprofessional personnel with his/her area of responsibility.
Assists in establishing communication with the school community for the purpose of assessing needs and increasing community awareness.
Assists in explaining school instructional policies, procedures and achievements to the school community.
Works with the Principal as a liaison between the school and the community, interpreting activities and policies of the school/district and encouraging community participation in school life.

Twelve-month position
HOURS:
Regular hours; 7:45-3:45 M-Th; 7:45-2:45 Friday
School vacation hours; 7:45-2:45 M-Th; 7:45- 12:45 Friday
Summer hours; 7:45-12:00 from the first business day after the last day of school through the first Friday in August
SALARY:
$122, 080
