Job Description

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
Assists therapists in providing treatment with a wide variety of illnesses and disabilities to help patients achieve a maximum level of independence. Perform assigned tasks in areas of direct and non-direct patient care. All patient care responsibilities are under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist or therapist assistant.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
(Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
Ability to comprehend, speak and write the English language and knowledge in medical terminology required. 1 to 2 years in a rehab setting preferred.
Education and Training:
HS graduate or equivalent. Demonstrate the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, other health care providers required. Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple job tasks on a daily basis to meet the needs of the department required. Knowledge of Meditech/Excel & Word preferred.
License, Certification & Registration:

Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prostheses that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met.
