Job Description
Description About the Initiative Within the Innovation Institute at MassTech, we design and advance strategic initiatives that strengthen Massachusetts' technology and innovation economy. We are currently seeking a dynamic professional to support our newest state offering: TechGeneration Residential Internship Program. Conceived as a high-impact, community-based residential internship experience, TechGeneration will bring together 100 top-tier collegiate students participating in technology internships across Greater Boston. The program combines subsidized shared housing with a curated, 12-week schedule of cross-disciplinary programming, industry exposure, and cohort-building experiences. By immersing interns in both the professional and social fabric of the Commonwealth's innovation ecosystem, the program is designed to strengthen peer networks, deepen regional ties, and position Massachusetts as the premier location for students to launch and grow their tech careers. The Candidate & The Opportunity We are seeking a highly responsible and diligent professional who takes true ownership of a project—someone dedicated to ensuring that absolutely every logistical and programmatic element is executed flawlessly. In return, this role offers a unique, high-visibility platform for the Coordinator to apply real creativity in the design and execution of a flagship state initiative. You will work in a high-energy, youthful environment, directly helping young professionals chart the initial phases of their careers. Furthermore, this position provides unparalleled exposure, allowing the Coordinator to build their own robust professional network by engaging directly with top-tier industry executives and academic leaders across the Commonwealth. Core Responsibilities The successful candidate will serve as the central coordinator for this inaugural program, ensuring a cohesive, professional, and engaging experience for all participants.
Responsibilities include:
Program & Ecosystem Development:
Work collaboratively with internal staff and external stakeholders to actively build, shape, and refine the summer programming and ecosystem engagement activities. Own theCalendar:
Steward and maintain total ownership of the 12-week TechGeneration programming calendar, ensuring seamless scheduling and alignment across our four university partners and various industry events. Own theDigital Platform:
Manage and oversee the TechGeneration Community Hub (collaborative app/portal). You will own this platform, utilizing it to dynamically engage with participants, track registration, and ensure all program materials and schedules are current and accessible. Quality Control & Partner Liaison (University Events): Our four university partners will take the lead on designing and managing the on-campus logistics for their eight core program modules. For these events, you will act as the primary TechGeneration representative on-site. You will not have to manage these "soup-to-nuts"; rather, your role is to ensure quality control, brand continuity, and that all programmatic expectations are met. Event Coordination (MassTech Events): For the additional 4-8 ecosystem events hosted directly by MassTech, you will manage the logistics. Crucially, you will not do this alone—you will have strong support from internal colleagues, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders to ensure a seamless execution.Lead Social Media Efforts:
Drive the social media strategy and push for the TechGeneration program. While our internal Communications Office will provide robust support on the execution and distribution side, you will be the creative lead ensuring the program's narrative and participant experiences are highly visible and engaging.Program Evaluation & Reporting:
Develop and oversee an evaluation component for the summer programming. You will collect participant feedback, track engagement metrics, and support documentation to measure the success, impact, and areas of improvement for future cohorts. Other duties as assigned.Similar remote jobs
