Summer Challenge Course Facilitator Hale Education Westwood, MA Job Details Temporary | Full-time $18 - $24 an hour 22 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications CPR Certification Teamwork Collaboration Outdoor work First Aid Certification Full Job Description Hale Education is located in Westwood, MA and has 1,200 acres of woodlands that in the summer houses 7 day camps and a Family and Community Beach. Hale is seeking Summer Challenge Course Facilitators to lead high ropes, low ropes, and teambuilding programs for the summer camp programs we support. Facilitators help participants build confidence, communication, and teamwork skills in a supportive outdoor environment. No prior challenge course experience is required, as Hale will provide all necessary training. This is a full-time seasonal position running June 22-August 21, averaging 35-40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate high ropes, low ropes, and teambuilding programs Maintain physical and emotional safety for participants Adapt activities for groups of varying ages, backgrounds, and abilities Work collaboratively with fellow staff Complete required training and documentation Uphold Hale Education's values and commitment to inclusion Collaborate with camp staff to manage camper behavior and ensure a safe learning environment for all participants. Adhere to the schedule designed by the camp staff. Participate in in-service trainings throughout the summer Complete additional duties assigned by supervisor Serve as a flexible, dependable, friendly, and cooperative member of the team Maintain professional appearance and attire provided by

Displays empathy and dedication to working with children in the outdoors Enjoys spending time outside and exploring the natural environment Adapts to new environments and situations with ease, Shows initiative both as a team and independently. Has a good sense of humor and interpersonal skills with clients, colleagues and supervisors.

Challenge Course Certifications Is available Monday-Friday from June 2026 to August 2026. All time off must be approved by program directors. Demonstrated experience working with children. Demonstrated experience in the outdoors. Ability to take initiative and produce results with minimal supervision. Ability to work on diverse teams with a diverse range of people. Ability to think critically and make timely decisions Strong communication and teamwork skills Dependable, adaptable, and proactive Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to hike uneven terrain and lift up to 50 lbs Perks of the
