  • Full-time Membership Manager Full Time, Exempt (Salaried) MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society, is seeking a Membership Manager who is passionate about building relationships, delivering exceptional member experiences, and helping Maryland physicians feel supported, connected, and heard.
This is a highly collaborative, people‑focused role ideal for someone who enjoys working across organizations, managing multiple priorities, and serving as a trusted point of contact. You will play a key role in driving membership engagement, strengthening retention, and ensuring members see real value in their relationship with MedChi. Working under the supervision of the Chief Experience Officer, the Membership Manager will serve as a visible ambassador for MedChi and a critical link between the organization and its component medical societies. What You'll Do Serve as the primary point of contact for members and component medical societies, fostering strong, ongoing relationships Promote MedChi programs, services, and benefits to drive membership growth and retention Analyze and track membership data, engagement trends, and feedback to support strategic decision‑making Represent MedChi through occasional travel and in‑person outreach Coordinate targeted membership communications to support engagement and awareness Partner on marketing and outreach initiatives aimed at attracting and retaining members Deliver timely, high‑quality customer service via email, phone, and online channels Build trust through responsive, solution‑oriented communication Plan and support membership meetings and events, including logistics and on‑site coordination Prepare registration materials, attendee lists, and name badges Assist with administrative tasks, board reports, and special membership‑related projects What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or equivalent experience Experience in membership services, association management, nonprofit organizations, or customer‑facing roles Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow‑through Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional, approachable interpersonal style Comfort working occasional evenings or weekends for meetings or events Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with communication, design, and database platforms.
Salary, Schedule & Benefits Salary:
$45,000
  • 55,000 annually, commensurate with experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m
  • 5:00 p.
m., with occasional additional hours
Work Model:
Hybrid option available after six months (subject to approval)
