$50,000- 60,000 About the Hydrocephalus Association The Hydrocephalus Association (HA) is the nation's leading nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families living with hydrocephalus through education, support, advocacy, and research. Our mission is to find a cure for hydrocephalus and improve the lives of those impacted by the condition. We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Support Programs Coordinator to help advance our support and educational initiatives. This position plays a vital role in connecting patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community members with trusted resources and support services. Position Summary The Support Programs Coordinator is responsible for supporting the administration, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive support and educational programs and initiatives for the Hydrocephalus Association (HA). Working closely with the Director of Support Programs, this individual will provide administrative and programmatic support that helps strengthen the organization's impact and improve the lives of individuals affected by hydrocephalus. The ideal candidate is highly organized, an excellent communicator, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and passionate about serving patients and families with professionalism and empathy. Key Responsibilities Assist with the administration and coordination of the Association's Support Group Program. Maintain mailing lists and database records for Support Group leaders. Help establish, maintain, and monitor online support groups. Coordinate the distribution of educational and support materials for Support Group meetings. Assist with responding to inquiries from patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community members seeking information, resources, and support. Monitor communications received through email, website forms, social media channels, and other communication platforms. Coordinate the distribution of educational literature and resources. Maintain accurate contact logs and database records. Support evaluation and continuous improvement of support and education services. Communicate professionally and compassionately with stakeholders while escalating complex concerns when appropriate. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (especially Gmail), and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong proofreading, grammar, and professional writing abilities. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally with diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and professionalism. High level of integrity, discretion, and accountability. Self-motivated team player with a collaborative mindset. Preferred Qualifications Degree in education, health education, public health, social work, case management, or a related field. Experience working in a nonprofit organization, healthcare environment, patient support setting, or small-office environment. Experience with database management, volunteer engagement, community outreach, or support programs. What We're Looking For The successful candidate will be: Compassionate and service-oriented.
