Job Description
Full Time Program Coordinator The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the coordination and management of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and day services for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The primary mission of this role is to ensure the quality, consistency, and comprehensiveness of services provided. The Coordinator develops a deep understanding of each individual's needs, strengths, and preferences, ensuring person-centered care. This role collaborates closely with families, guardians, state and community agencies, and healthcare providers to promote safety, independence, and a meaningful quality of life for all individuals served. Major Responsibilities /
Activities:
Oversee daily operations of programs and services for individuals with developmental disabilities Supervise and coordinate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and day service staff Ensure high-quality, person-centered service delivery tailored to individual needs Collaborate with area agencies, state agencies, families, guardians, and healthcare providers Monitor and ensure individuals' health, safety, and well-being at all times Ensure compliance with COMAR, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Maryland Board of Nursing regulations, accreditation standards, and company policies Other Responsibilities Maintain strong, respectful relationships with individuals served Demonstrate strong planning, organization, and follow-through skills Respond to incidents in a timely and professional manner Attend new intake meetings and participate in onboarding processes Attend and monitor annual Person-Centered Plan (PCP) meetings Manage staff scheduling and ensure proper use of time management systems Ensure timely and accurate completion of documentation in electronic record systems Review documentation for accuracy and compliance Conduct regular visits to client homes and service sites Be on-call 24/7 Perform additional administrative duties as assigned Minimum Requirements & Experience Associates Degree preferred, plus two years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities and one year of supervisory experience. Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agency's insurance carrier and Agency policy. Must have reliable transportation Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
