Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Program Coordinator to join our team. The Program Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality care, and support individuals with developmental disabilities in a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment. The ideal candidate will be an advocate for the individuals we serve, providing leadership to staff and working closely with families and service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement individual care plans, ensuring the specific needs of each resident are met. Supervise and train Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to ensure adherence to organizational policies and DDA regulations. Support residents in achieving personal goals, improving life skills, and increasing independence. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress, behavior, and any incidents or changes in health status. Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times. Provide emotional support and crisis intervention as needed. Collaborate with team members, families, and other professionals to coordinate care and services. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment. Provide on-call support as needed for emergencies and scheduling coverage. Participate in monthly staff meetings and provide feedback on the operation and improvement of the program.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (preferred). Previous experience working in a residential care, group home, or similar environment is a plus. Knowledge of DDA regulations and the ability to implement them in daily operations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental attitude. Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and respect. Flexible and willing to work weekends, evenings, or overnight shifts as required. First Aid and CPR certification (or the ability to obtain it).
