Program Specialist

Job Description Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore is looking for a hard-working, driven individual who is well connected to Eastern Shore communities in Maryland to join our team committed to making a positive difference in the lives of youth facing adversity. Responsibilities include volunteer recruitment, child and volunteer enrollment, partnership development, recruitment, community outreach, soliciting in-kind support, and organizing youth events. Responsible for meeting program compliance. Planning and facilitating activities, provide case management oversight, coaching, coordinating youth events, screen and train volunteer mentors. The successful candidate must have very strong oral and written communication skills, relationship building skills, organizational skills and attention to detail. A background in marketing, public or human relations is a plus.

Required Competencies:

Highly organized, strategic networker with excellent writing and time management skills; Experience decision making skills; excellent research, communication and presentation skills; creativity, flexibility and a strong client service ethic. A valid drivers license and current automobile insurance are required. Willingness and ability to use own car for agency business (mileage reimbursement). Must pass child safety checks. Must be able to use internet, fax, phone, computer, Excel, Word and other office equipment. Salesforce knowledge helpful. Education and Experience Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or related field required , with a minimum of 4 year's work experience preferred.
