Program Coordinator Summer Experience Program

Job Overview BrightPoint Wellness Center is seeking an experienced, organized, and energetic Program Coordinator to lead our Summer Experience Program. This program provides a safe, structured, and engaging environment for children and youth through academic enrichment, recreation, arts, wellness activities, and social skill development. The Program Coordinator will oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality programming while maintaining a safe and positive environment for all participants. Program Oversight Manage daily operations of the Summer Experience Program Ensure activities are structured, engaging, and run on schedule Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment Staff Supervision Supervise and support Summer Program Support Workers Coordinate staff schedules and daily assignments Provide guidance, direction, and performance feedback Youth Safety & Compliance Ensure proper supervision and safety protocols are followed Address behavioral concerns and respond to incidents Escalate clinical or safety concerns to appropriate leadership Program Implementation Oversee activities including: academic enrichment recreation arts and creative programming wellness and social development Ensure smooth transitions and strong youth engagement Operations & Logistics Manage attendance, daily schedules, and program flow Coordinate materials, setup, and program organization Communicate effectively with staff and leadership Documentation & Reporting Monitor participant engagement and behavior Ensure incidents are documented appropriately Provide updates to program leadership Qualifications Preferred Experience Experience in youth programs, summer camps, after-school programs, or education Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred Skills Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Positive and engaging approach with youth Requirements CPR / First Aid certification (preferred) Ability to pass background checks Ability to work in a high-energy, youth-focused environment Important Note This role provides program oversight and youth support but does not provide clinical or therapeutic services. All clinical concerns must be referred to appropriate clinical staff.
