Job Description

Eastern Area Agency on Aging is seeking a motivated and organized Program Coordinator to support and grow our Wellness & Enrichment programs. This position combines program coordination, volunteer management, community engagement, and customer service to help create meaningful opportunities that promote health, wellness, and connection for older adults and adults with disabilities. This is a full-time, 35-hour-per-week position based at the Durgin Center in Brewer. What You'll Do As the Program Coordinator, you will: Recruit, train, support, and recognize volunteers who provide direct services and program support Coordinate day-to-day program operations, scheduling, and record keeping Maintain accurate records, referrals, and documentation in agency databases Work with the Community Services manager to develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations Assist with outreach and community engagement efforts Coordinate logistics and scheduling for classes, special events, and facility rentals Support wellness and evidence-based health programs to ensure compliance with program requirements Help identify and develop new programming opportunities to meet community needs What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's degree in human services, health services, social work, or business administration preferred. 2-3 years of experience coordinating volunteers, programs, events, or community services Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills Technology proficiency, including Microsoft Office, databases, and internet applications Flexibility for occasional evening or weekend hours for special events or community activities Must have a valid driver's license, proof of vehicle insurance and ability to travel for job related requirements.
