Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee daily operations of the
COMEBACK
Quick Response Team (QRT) program, including troubleshooting issues and resolving problems as they arise.- Serve as the primary liaison between Face Addiction Now, participating law enforcement agencies, and community partners
- Comfortable speaking with and in front of law enforcement
- Collaborate with Law Enforcement Coordinators to ensure effective communication, scheduling, and response efforts
- Coordinate multidisciplinary team activities, including timely follow-up and home visits to individuals and families affected by SUD
- Ensure delivery of person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented services
- Track and monitor program data, outcomes, and performance metrics; prepare reports as needed
- Identify gaps in services and work to expand resources, partnerships, and program reach
- Provide guidance, training support, and ongoing communication to QRT-trained law enforcement personnel and team members
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, confidentiality standards, and applicable regulations
- Assist with program development, strategic planning, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Support community outreach efforts to increase awareness of FAN services and reduce stigma
- Manage program logistics, including supply coordination and resource distribution
- Remain knowledgeable regarding SUD best practice approaches and national trends
- Facilitates QRT training for staff and community partners
- Support and effectively communicate with team members including FAN leadership, law enforcement partners, additional stakeholders, FAN staff, and contractors
- Implement administrative systems, procedures, and policies as directed
- Mentor and train new QRT staff, contractors, and interns
- Support QRTs in the field as needed and when available.
- Remain knowledgeable about all FAN programs and national trends (attend training as required)
- Represent FAN/Comeback QRT in a professional manner while performing duties
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, criminal justice, psychology, or a related field with a proven successful track record of working with diverse populations. Please note that FAN will consider alternative, comparable experience
- Experience collaborating with law enforcement, first responders, or criminal justice systems strongly preferred
- Experience as a person in recovery from substance use disorder or person with family SUD experience strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in substance use disorder (SUD), behavioral health, community outreach, or a related field; or one academic year of graduate practicum/internship experience working with persons with SUD and other co-occurring disorders
- Ability to implement community program and initiatives while working collaboratively with multiple community organizations and stakeholders
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders such as law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community partners
- Ability to problem-solve, think critically, and make sound decisions in dynamic or high-pressure situations
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to emerging needs
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and use of Internet in locating resources
- Knowledge of Google products such as Drive, Gmail, and Calendar
- Proficiency in data tracking, reporting, and basic program evaluation
- Knowledge of opiate abuse prevention
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, harm reduction principles, and recovery-oriented approaches
- Cultural competence, including the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds, and a commitment to equity, inclusion, and reducing stigma
- Ability to maintain professionalism, boundaries, and confidentiality in sensitive situations
- Experience conducting outreach, home visits, or field-based work
- Experience working in or alongside multidisciplinary teams
- Experience coordinating programs, services, or community-based initiatives
- Experience developing partnerships and engaging community stakeholders
- Experience with training, mentoring, or supervising staff, interns, or volunteers
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community-based work
- Possess or obtain CCAR certification to work in the field on QRT
- Successful completion of a background check
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
