Job Description
The Senior Football Analyst serves as a key member of the football program's staff, providing advanced strategic support to coaching staff while serving as the program's primary interface with NFL personnel. Serves as the liaison between the football program and NFL scouts, personnel departments, and league representatives. Responsible for advanced film and data analysis along with the development of offensive strategies that align with the program's competitive goals. This position optimizes program performance and professional opportunities for student-athletes while ensuring strict adherence to NCAA regulations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in sports management, analytics, business, or a related field. Five years of related professional experience in data analytics and proficiency with football software (e.g., Hudl, XOS, Pro Football Focus). NFL experience that may include coaching, playing, contract negotiations or managing public relations. Demonstrated expertise in football strategy, including a deep understanding of modern offensive schemes and concepts. Strong communication, collaborative and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in sports management, analytics, business, or a related field. Prior experience as a coach, analyst, or staff member at the collegiate or professional level. Experience coordinating Pro Day or managing NFL scout relations at an FBS/FCS program. Duties & Responsibilities Serves as the primary liaison between the football program and NFL scouts, personnel departments, and league representatives. Communicates regularly with NFL scouts regarding player evaluations, film access, analytics data, and scheme context. Develops and maintains NFL Draft profiles for draft-eligible student-athletes, including analytics summaries, trait-based evaluations, and film cut-ups. Oversees and supports Pro Day operations, including scheduling, drill organization, data tracking, and scout communication. Evaluates high school and transfer portal prospects for offensive potential and scheme fit. Collaborates with recruiting staff to ensure alignment between player evaluations and program needs. Aligns recruiting and roster evaluations with long-term professional development and NFL projection standards. Ensures compliance in all communications with NFL personnel and external professional organizations. Communicates and maintains relationships with NFL football alumni. Adheres strictly to NCAA and institutional regulations regarding coaching limitations and roles. Collaborates with offensive coaching staff to develop innovative game plans and strategies tailored to opponents' strengths and weaknesses. Conducts advanced film analysis of opponent's defensive schemes and tendencies using analytics tools and video platforms. Assists in preparing practice scripts, drill plans, and situational scenarios to maximize offensive unit efficiency. Utilizes data-driven analytics to assess offensive performance metrics, play effectiveness, and situational success rates. Provides independent football instruction including technical insight, film-supported feedback, conceptual guidance and developmental support as needed. Provides backup support to primary coaches as needed. Serves as a strategic and analytical extension of the offensive coaching staff, supporting operational needs as allowed by NCAA regulations. Safeguards confidential information (FERPA/HIPAA) and ensures secure handling of medical, academic, and personally identifiable information. Performs other duties as assigned.
