Community Food Club:
The food club is a nonprofit grocery store (opening summer 2026!) where members find healthy options at affordable prices. It's an innovative approach to food security that prioritizes choice, participation and access to healthy foods. Members pay a low monthly fee, shop with points and choose from plenty of fresh, quality foods.

Strategic Leadership:
Develops long-term program goals, operational frameworks, and strategic plans that align with organizational missions.
Program Oversight:
Directs all nutrition education and related Policy, Systems, and Environmental (PSE) initiatives, such as community-based workshops. (Kitchens and Garden)
Compliance Management:
Ensures program integrity by adhering to USDA regulations, local health codes, and federal/state policies.
Financial Administration:
Assists in department budget preparation, monitors expenditures, and ensures cost-effectiveness of operations.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Technical Expert:
Provides dietetic, food safety, and nutrition science expertise to guide internal initiatives and external curriculum.
Team Supervisor:
Manages personnel actions including hiring, training, professional development, and performance evaluations for nutrition staff and volunteers.
Stakeholder Liaison:
Acts as the primary representative of program partners and coordinates with all partners to expand program reach.
Resource Advocate:
Assists in grant writing and proposal drafting to secure funding for nutrition initiatives.
Program Management:
Oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nutrition programs.
Curriculum Development:
Leads the design of educational materials and strategies to improve nutritional outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Evaluation & Reporting:
Collaborates with evaluation teams to analyze program effectiveness and report data trends to senior leadership.
Quality Control:
Implements and monitors standards for food safety, sanitation, and high-quality service across all program sites.
Outreach & Marketing:
Develops and implements marketing plans to increase program participation and secure community support.
Staff Training:
Facilitates mandatory and general training for professional staff on latest nutrition research and food safety. All other duties assigned by your supervisor.
Position Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Education, or a related field is preferred. Or, a minimum of five years' experience in nutrition program planning and supervision.
Certifications:
ServSafe Food Manager certification (or being able and willing to attain within first 90 days)
