Day Service Specialist -
On Call Location:
Burnsville, MN (Travel within 30-mile radius, company vehicle provided)
Job Type:
On-Call (weekday/daytime shifts, no nights or weekends) About the Role MRCI is seeking a Day Service Specialist - On Call to support individuals with developmental disabilities through community-based, person-centered day services. This role provides coverage for absences and assists teams across MRCI service areas. Starting Pay:
$18.20-21.84/hour based on experience Key Responsibilities Develop and implement program curriculum aligned with DHS Day Support Services standards and person-centered practices. Plan and coordinate individualized, community-based activities for program participants. Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners to promote integration opportunities. Communicate effectively with clients, teams, funders, and community members. Monitor program operations for efficiency and recommend improvements. Travel within service areas to provide coverage and transport clients in a company vehicle. Provide direct support to clients, including personal care, medication administration, and use of adaptive equipment. Serve as an ambassador for MRCI in community events and presentations. Utilize technology for timely communication and documentation. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education/Experience:
High School diploma/equivalent or Associate s degree + 2 years related experience OR Bachelor s degree in a related field + 1 year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in computer-based office software. Valid driver s license and reliable transportation (ability to drive up to 1.5 hours). Must pass DHS background check. Sales or customer service experience preferred. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions. Transporting clients to community sites required. Why Join MRCI?
