Make a Difference Every Day! Avenues for Youth partners with young people experiencing homelessness or housing instability to achieve safety, stability, and independence. We are seeking a passionate, strategic, and relationship-centered leader to oversee ConneQT, one of the nation's longest-running LGBTQ+ youth host home programs. ConneQT connects LGBTQ+ youth ages 16-24 with trained community hosts who provide safe, affirming housing and supportive relationships. This role offers the opportunity to lead a highly respected program that creates meaningful impact through belonging, stability, and community connection. Position Summary The Program Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and daily operations of the ConneQT program, including staff supervision, program development, and service delivery. This role ensures high-quality, affirming, and responsive support for youth while maintaining strong community partnerships and program outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the ConneQT program
- Supervise, coach, and develop program staff
- Recruit, screen, train, and retain community host homes
- Oversee youth referrals, intakes, and host home matching
- Provide crisis response and support conflict resolution
- Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations and referral sources
- Monitor program outcomes, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with funding requirements
- Support program growth, grant initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, education, public health, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of experience in youth services, housing, nonprofit leadership, or a related field
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Experience supporting LGBTQ+ youth strongly preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and crisis management skills
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and youth-centered practices

Salary Range:
