Job Description

Basic Job Summary :
The Director of Youth Opportunity provides leadership in implementing the vision and mission of United Way of Central Minnesota's Youth Opportunity Impact Area while aligning efforts with the broader goals and strategic priorities of United Way of Central Minnesota. They implement the work of goal area network teams and facilitators, supervise program staff, and enhance and grow community programs and partnerships.
Responsibilities Key position responsibilities include:
Provide leadership in implementing the vision and mission of United Way of Central Minnesota's Youth Opportunity Impact Area while aligning efforts with the broader goals and strategic priorities of United Way of Central Minnesota Work alongside the Youth Opportunity Advisory Council and Executive Committee to support the mobilization and advancement of Youth Opportunity strategies, partnerships, and community impact efforts Operationalize work within network teams Provide support to program implementation and event management Provide direction and decision-making on day-to-day budget implementation Support and build team capacity Supervise and provide oversight to designated Youth Opportunity initiatives, priorities, goals, staff, and contracted partners Provide information, process improvement, and decision-making on daily activities for supervised staff Coordinate and support staff development for staff and networks Work with strategic goal areas to build relationships, align community resources, and reduce barriers Support, develop, and grow organizational programs, networks, and collaborations using data and research to drive decision-making Develop and maintain relationships with youth-serving organizations, community stakeholders, and external partners to strengthen collaboration, alignment, and collective impact Attend partner meetings and provide leadership on behalf of United Way of Central Minnesota Minimum Qualifications 4-year college degree, or equivalent experience 3 years' experience working with youth development programming Ability to motivate staff and manage staff behaviors Ability to communicate and foster relationships with students, families/parents and community members Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite Must pass background check Preferred Qualifications Staff supervision experience Experience analyzing and using data for program planning and decision-making Budget planning and management experiences Grant writing experience

$75,000.00 per year
