Job Description
We are hiring a Child Care Program Coordinator at the City of Saint Paul to help plan, coordinate, and lead engaging school-age child care and educational programs for youth and families. This position plays an important role in creating safe, inclusive, and enriching environments for children while supporting staff, families, and program operations. Here's what you can expect to do: Plan, develop, and implement educational and recreational programs and curriculum for school-age children. Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of child care programs, including activities, schedules, and program logistics. Recruit, train, supervise, and support staff, volunteers, interns, and instructors working within the program. Build positive relationships with children, families, schools, and community partners while providing excellent customer service. Monitor program effectiveness, maintain records and reports, manage budgets and payments, and ensure compliance with applicable policies, standards, and safety requirements. Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education or related field AND Two years of experience in elementary classroom instruction or coordinating an educational and/or school-age child care program serving children ages 5-12. Must have a current certification by the American Red Cross in Standard First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
