Centerpoint Medical Center is launching a new ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency program in the Kansas City Metro.

Qualified Candidates:

Significant protected administrative time with shared institutional accountability for early accreditation milestones Strong partnership with executive leadership and support from an established GME office Clear alignment between clinical leadership and educational priorities Leadership scope and compensation aligned with senior academic and institutional responsibility Founding Emergency Medicine Program Director

• 40% Full founding authority over program design, curriculum philosophy, trainee experience, and program culture, including meaningful decision ‑ making input into early core faculty selection. Assistant Designated Institutional Official (ADIO)
• 40% Enterprise ‑ level oversight of local GME programs, ACGME compliance, and institutional reviews, serving as a key delegate to the DIO Includes active participation in the GMEC and input into broader workforce and physician development strategy Works in direct partnership with the Designated Institutional Official and executive leadership Clinical Emergency Medicine
• 20% Sustains clinical credibility without distracting from leadership priorities
