Weekdays Varies Overview :
The ECMO Coordinator serves as the lead ECMO Specialist (ES), ensuring ECMO practices align with hospital goals, and providing training and mentorship to the ES staff. The coordinator is skilled in policy development, data management, and ensuring compliance with ELSO guidelines, which includes developing policies, maintaining accurate records in the ELSO registry, and implementing protocols. Additionally, the Coordinator actively seeks professional development opportunities, network with other ECMO centers, and assists with the implementation of innovative technology.
Minimum Qualifications :
Education :
Graduate from a professional nursing or respiratory program.
License :
Current RN or RT license within state of practice.
Experience :
Two years of RN or RT experience
Other Skills, Knowledge, Abilities :
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently under limited supervision. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills that allow successful interactions with caregivers and leadership at all levels within the ministry and externally. Outstanding service orientation and ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of co-workers across the ministry. Strong business computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), with expertise using Excel or similar database programs. Why Mercy?
