The Sonography Quality Coordinator provides program level leadership for the department, ensuring high-quality ultrasound imaging, strong interdisciplinary partnerships, and continuous improvement across clinical operations, accreditation, staff development, and strategic growth. This role functions as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders, supports complex patient imaging needs, and drives service line development and quality initiatives.
Education:
Associate's degree; graduate of an accredited program of
Sonography Experience:
Three (3) years of relevant experience
Licensure:
State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
Certification/Registration:
ARDMS or CCI with two advanced registries,
BLS Additional Skills:
Proficient in supervision, instruction, and evaluation of sonographers Clinical Competence Quality systems mindset (audits, accreditation, standardization) Education and staff development capability Program and project management (renovations, equipment, new services) Clear and thorough documentation EMR Technology Effective communication Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders Critical thinking and decision making Adaptability Emotional Intelligence Why Mercy?
