This position supports the mission of the College by providing technical, analytical and writing support related to college activities, recruitment, enrollment, and retention or other areas. This person will work collaboratively with eight departments, which include multiple degree programs and highly skilled faculty and staff. The Program Coordinator II will manage confidential and sensitive information, plan, schedule and prioritize to meet deadlines, and provide budget and organizational support for the Dean of CLASS. The Program Coordinator II will maintain and streamline procedures to support the College and its programs. The successful applicant will serve as a liaison between various internal and external constituencies and the Dean's office. Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Dean and College with the following: Ensure the needs of the college, faculty, staff, and students are met effectively and efficiently. Gather information, conduct research, and compile data for reporting and decision making as requested. Participate in strategic decision-making and in the administration of operating policies and procedures affecting the Dean's Office and CLASS. Assist in planning, organizing and coordinating projects and events. Coordinate promotional efforts by working with Departments and assisting with press releases, posters, calendars and other documents. Promote the college and its programs through social media. Assist in evaluating, maintaining and updating CLASS websites. Monitor the Dean's budgets through Banner. Recode purchase card charges and manage budget-related documents related to expenditures. Maintain active communication with CLASS Program Coordinators and assist in communicating with Department Chairs. Assist with Professional Development and Faculty Travel processes. When necessary, assist the CLASS Curriculum Council. Coordinate communication with students and donors as needed. Assist in managing the LA Building, including not only maintenance and coordination with the Facilities Department, but also innovative use of space as we welcome more community members into the building. This may include coordinating with the Art department to find locations to display student and donated work, assisting with event planning and management as well as coordinating with other MSUB offices. Supervise one or more student employees.
