Thrive is seeking a compassionate, engaging, and organized Parent Educator to lead parenting programs, support caregivers, and strengthen family connections within our community. The Parent Educator leads Thrive's Parent Place program by providing education, encouragement, resources, and support to parents and caregivers through both group and individual settings. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, facilitating, and evaluating parenting classes, workshops, and family engagement opportunities that create welcoming and supportive spaces for families to learn and connect. This is a dynamic and relationship-focused role that requires strong communication skills, initiative, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Some evening and occasional weekend hours are required.Key Responsibilities:
Program Coordination & Facilitation- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Parent Place classes, workshops, and family engagement events
- Lead evidence-based and community-informed parenting programs, including Circle of Security Parenting and Parenting with Love and Logic®
- Coordinate family engagement opportunities such as Thriving Dads, Mama MeetUp, WordPlay, and special topic workshops
- Create welcoming, inclusive, and engaging learning environments for all participants
- Support ongoing program growth and community engagement efforts Parent Support & Resource Navigation
- Provide one-on-one support to parents and caregivers by helping identify strengths, set goals, and build positive parenting practices
- Conduct occasional home visits as needed
- Connect families with relevant community resources and support services
- Offer emotional support and encouragement in group settings and through individual communication, including phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings Content Development & Communication
- Write and distribute monthly parent newsletters and educational materials
- Develop engaging content that reinforces parenting concepts and highlights program impact
- Serve as a communication liaison for Parent Place updates and outreach within Thrive and the community Program Evaluation & Reporting
- Track participation, attendance, and outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness
- Collect and analyze participant feedback through surveys and other evaluation tools
- Assist with program documentation, grant reporting, and data collection efforts Program Development
- Support the development of new programming based on emerging community and family needs
- Collaborate with team members to enhance program quality and impact
- Assist in gathering information and stories for grant applications and reporting
- Contribute to future program planning, goal setting, and continuous improvement efforts Core Competencies Program & Instructional Skills

- Passion for Thrive's mission and supporting families in the community Qualifications Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, education, family sciences, human services, or a related field
- Minimum of two years of experience working with families, children, or in a community-based setting
- Knowledge of local community resources preferred
- Training or experience in Circle of Security, Parents as Teachers, Love and Logic®, or similar parenting models preferred
- Spanish language skills are a plus Supervisory Responsibilities
- None Salary & Benefits This position pays $50,000 - $53,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
