Duties Help Serves as the point of contact for harm and abuse prevention programs and activities; provides program coordinion and serves as the subject mter expert for the Wing/Region IPP program. Serves as the Primary Prevention Integror (PPI) managing all aspects of a complex integred primary prevention program (P3) for the Wing/Region. Serves as the Wing/Region point of contact for the suicide prevention program, workplace and domestic violence programs in a non-clinical primary prevention, here after referred to as prevention, role in coordinion with applicable offices and community agencies. Delivers initial prevention activities, averting harm or abuse before it occurs. Identifies risk and protective factors th lead to or protect against unhealthy or unsafe behaviors. Promotes actions to mitige environmental factors. Examines and interprets populion da from the Wing/Region. Interprets S/T/DC policies and guidance to develop Wing/Region specific policy, plans, objectives and guidance for the operion of local P3. Coordines the implemention and coordinion of all such activities a local level. Provides professional advisory services and training to Wing/Region Service Members and community agencies concerning available or ongoing violence-reled prevention efforts. Utilizes effective presention and facilition skills, provides accure and approprie technical assistance tailored to specific audiences, and communices the complexities of prevention issues to stakeholders and the public. Develops coordined plans for reducing risk factors and promoting protective factors for increased resiliency within the community. Conducts assessments on strengths, weaknesses, opportunity, and thre analyses th form the basis for action, implemention, and program plan development activities. Crafts formal assessments and evaluion processes to monitor outreach programs and services through evaluion of activities. Collects or obtains local da and reports quarterly activities to Wing/Region and JFHQ leadership, and respective boards, counsels, and committees as applicable. Implements ste policies and other official guidance the local level. Responsible for overseeing program compliance with local guidance and ensuring program fidelity. Assists leaders in developing and monitoring the effectiveness of their P3. Advises leaders all levels of best practices and evidence-based programs, policies, and plans th increase prevention readiness within their organizions. Supports inter

Represents their populion's integred prevention efforts as a member of leadership advisory committees, boards and working groups. Collects, consolides, and presents relevant prevention program da to leadership advisory committees, boards, and working groups. Briefs Commanders and senior personnel on Integred Primary Prevention (IPP), as defined in applicable policy and official guidance, to obtain optimum support for IPP activities. Below the JFHQ level, chairs leadership advisory committees, boards and working groups, as requested by leadership. Serves as the Wing/Region liaison for local military and civilian agencies to promote timely informion exchange, coordine collaborive prevention efforts, and establish resource links and community partnerships. Incorpores comprehensive stregies to enhance community strengths, address broad-based community needs, suggest community problem solving methods, and forge community connections. Establishes networking, advocacy, and collaborion processes through which to promote IPP to the community. Ensures curriculums and community intervention initiives for each P3 are research-based and supported by the evidence. Attends relevant community committee meetings to provide input and obtain informion reled to prevention issues. Consolides findings from needs assessments and other da sources looking for possible effects of prevention efforts with all respective agencies and leadership, to recommend implemention stregies ensuring da-driven allocions of time and resources. Networks with internal programs and offices the Wing/Region, or JFHQ (such as Behavioral Health, Equal Opportunity, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response, Family Programs, Yellow Ribbon, and Substance Abuse Program) to standardize and synchronize training and evaluion in order to provide a well-coordined approach to prevention. Responsible for developing and overseeing healthy clime, resiliency, risk reduction activities, trainings, and communicion campaigns within the Wing/Region. Advises Wing/Region commanders in communicing prevention plans and programs to subordine units. Recruits, trains, and facilites military volunteers for prevention activity implemention. The incumbent of this position description must have a minimum, a completed Nional Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. Ability to establish effective professional working relionships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperive working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. Irregular and/or overtime (compensory) hours may be required to support operional requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. May require travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an approprie valid driver's license is mandory. This position is designed as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in response to, a ste emergency or disaster declarion. Must have one of the following: A)
Degree:
behavioral or social science; or reled disciplines approprie to the position th included least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences. OR B) Combinion of educion and experience th provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field th included least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
: Must have 1 year specialized experience equivalent to least the next lower grade level. Experience, educion or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, ghering pertinent da and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluing objectives and develop plans to facilite the availability and effective utilizion of various social science resources. Must have knowledge of the organizion and its mission and utilized the organizional staff procedures. Experience applying analytical and evaluive techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operions carried out by administrive or professional personnel, or substantive administrive support functions.
