Program Manager Schedule:
Full Time, Monday through Friday 7am-4pm Position Summary The Program Coordinator assists with the operations, programs, activities and supportive services for the basic and intensive needs of unaccompanied homeless youth residing in the house. This position assists with the landlord tasks of the facility, monitoring residents and their responsibilities in a community living situation. The Program coordinator works collaboratively and effectively communicates with all staff to ensure youth and program success. The Program Coordinator will work full-time working with participants for a total work week of 40 hours. The coordinator will help manage the house coverage schedule and will be required to provide emergency coverage as needed. Essential Job Functions The candidate must have strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally. Strong organizational skills are required. Must possess a valid Montana Driver's License, proof of personal automobile insurance, and must meet insurability requirements for agency automobile insurance policy. The employee must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must ably use a computer. This position requires ably communicating with youth and other staff through talking and listening. Must have the ability to work with youth and their families with an objective, non-judgmental attitude. Major Duties and Responsibilities 1. Provides general support to the organization and facilitates adherence to local, state, and federal guidelines. 2. Attends and Coordinates weekly life skills workshops and courses. The Program Manager and outreach team will assist with finding appropriate guest speakers and classes. The program coordinator will facilitate said courses and speakers. 3. In Conjunction with the Program Manager ensure that the house is properly maintained through monitoring resident chore completion and filling in when needed so that the house and grounds are clean. Responsible for entering maintenance requests and ensuring that the area of the house that needs maintenance is clean and ready for maintenance personnel. 4. Oversee Facility safety and cleanliness. 5. Assists with Resident Intake and Admission Process as well as student discharge and transition plans 6. Conducts Student Orientation 7. Assists Program Manager and uses a strength based approach to develop, implement and monitor each resident's Individual Living Plan (ILP) and utilizes available resources in the community. 8. Student resource for any questions about rules and day to day tasks 9. Will serve as "team lead" when the program manager is not available. This includes scheduling and documenting weekly relief staff team "huddles" to prepare for each week and remedy any issues at the relief staff level. 10. Work in conjunction with Flathead Food bank to ensure adequate food in home 11. Partner with youth in improving independent living skills (cooking, budgeting, shopping, cleaning, hygiene, laundry, maintenance, etc.). This includes managing each student's weekly meal plan and assisting them with creating grocery lists for shopping needs. 12. Assist in providing support for school-based functions (homework, extra-curricular activities, meetings, ect.). 13. Provide proper documentation of inspections, searches, strikes, probations and drills. 14. Works closely and cooperatively with other social service entities (non profit, government, and schools. ) 15. Facilitates in the implementation for models within the program. 16. Assist program manager to schedule and maintain a calendar for relief shifts. If a weekend or holiday does not have coverage, the coordinator must provide coverage. 17. Assist in providing access to transportation for youth. 18. Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

EXPERIENCE
Experience in social services or non profit sectors. Experience working with homeless and at-risk youth preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and
ABILITIES
Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and policies regarding youth and families. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Ability to be sensitive and responsive to cultural differences and a commitment to the value of cultural competency. Ability to establish and maintain rapport with youth and families, as well as other permanent support people and professionals. Ability to view families, both biological and chosen, as resources and support systems for youth, and commitment to involve families in services, as youth sees fit. Knowledge of trauma informed care, harm reduction, and positive youth development and apply these philosophies to individual clientele. Knowledge of ethical principles regarding professional boundaries, confidentiality, etc. Services provided are rooted in core principles of: 1) a strength-based approach which believes in the value and worth of each participant as an individual; 2) recognizing that participants' needs are best met through holistic and individualized service delivery. Our youth development approach enlists youth as stakeholders in designing goals that are meaningful and aligned with the youth's own individual skills, dreams and competencies.
