Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Program Coordinator to lead and manage community-based initiatives that promote social well-being and public health. Duties Develop, implement, and oversee community programs aligned with organizational goals and public health priorities Coordinate volunteer efforts by recruiting, training, supervising, and recognizing volunteers to support program activities Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and effective program delivery Lead public speaking engagements and outreach initiatives to raise awareness about program services and community needs Collect and analyze data related to program outcomes to inform continuous improvement efforts Manage social media platforms and marketing campaigns to promote programs and engage target audiences Collaborate with community partners, stakeholders, and funders to strengthen program impact and sustainability Program CoordinatorReality Ministries — Durham, NC Reality Ministries creates opportunities for adults with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to experience belonging, kinship, and the life-changing Reality of Christ's love. Core Responsibilities Program Coordination & Systems Management The Program Coordinator helps develop and maintain the systems that support accessible, organized, and meaningful programming.
Responsibilities may include:
Coordinating aspects of Reality's ongoing programs, events, retreats, and seasonal offerings Managing program logistics, registration processes, communication systems, and participant information Supporting accessibility and inclusion efforts across programs Maintaining organizational systems, data tracking, and administrative processes Collaborating with staff to evaluate and strengthen program effectiveness Helping ensure that programs are well-organized, welcoming, and aligned with Reality's mission Program Team Support & Supervision The Program Coordinator helps support the people who make Reality's programs possible. Depending on experience and organizational needs, responsibilities may include: Supervising and mentoring interns, assistants, and other program staff Coordinating onboarding, training, and ongoing support processes Participating in hiring and staff development efforts Facilitating or supporting regular team meetings, communication, and collaboration Cultivating a healthy team culture through coaching, feedback, and problem-solving Organizational Collaboration The Program Coordinator works closely with the Program Director and broader staff team to support organizational goals and strengthen program infrastructure. Responsibilities may include:
Supporting communication, budgeting, evaluation, and program assessment efforts Coordinating collaboration across teams Assisting with special projects and organizational initiatives Helping identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and increased participant engagement Direct Program Engagement While much of this role involves coordination and support, the Program Coordinator remains actively connected to the life of the community through direct participation in programs and relationships. Responsibilities include:
Participating regularly in Reality programming (Evening Groups, Interest Groups, Meet Ups, etc) Building meaningful relationships with participants, volunteers, and staff Supporting a culture of belonging, mutuality, and care Leading or Assisting with community events, retreats, and special gatherings Coordinating the Annual Talent Show at the DPAC Leading or supporting programs as appropriate Shaping the Role While the core responsibilities of this position provide a strong foundation, we recognize that each staff member brings unique gifts, experiences, and training to the Reality community. We welcome candidates to bring their own expertise into the role in ways that strengthen our programs and deepen care for our community. This could include (but is not limited to): Clinical or pastoral care experience Group facilitation or therapeutic skill sets Experience in disability services, education, or social work Program development and organizational leadership Systems design and operational excellence Strategic thinking and organizational development Theological reflection, Christian formation, or thought leadership Creative community-building initiatives There will be opportunities to collaborate with the Program Director to shape certain aspects of the role in alignment with both organizational needs and the candidate's strengths.

Staff Team Responsibilities All Reality staff share in the life of the organization.
