About the Role As the leader of our Day Program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, you will create an environment where each day is purposeful, engaging, and uplifting. Our program is active and community-focused, and we're looking for someone who can bring both structure and enthusiasm-someone who sees the potential in every moment and every participant. You will be the steady, supportive presence that keeps everything running smoothly while inspiring your team to do their best work. Duties and Responsibilities In this role, you'll be at the heart of our Day Program-guiding a dedicated team, supporting participants, and creating a space where everyone can thrive.
Lead with purpose:
Oversee daily program operations with clarity, consistency, and a positive, solutions-focused approach Support and develop your team: Provide hands-on supervision, coaching, and mentorship to a team of up to 15 staff, fostering growth, confidence, and collaboration Drive meaningful programming: Plan, prioritize, and implement program goals that promote skill-building, independence, and community inclusion Ensure quality and compliance: Review documentation, monitor performance, and maintain high standards that meet all regulatory expectations Deliver person-centered services: Support participants in developing skills across motor, cognitive, communication, social, and daily living areas Bring learning to life in the community: Facilitate activities and experiences that build confidence, independence, and real-world connection Partner with families and caregivers: Offer guidance, encouragement, and open communication to support each participant's success beyond the program Build relationships: Communicate regularly with families, guardians, and community partners while representing the program with professionalism and pride Strengthen the program: Evaluate services, identify opportunities for improvement, and help shape a program that continues to grow and evolve

Essential Skills Required:
Leadership skills, including managing a team of 15 or more people. Strong activity and program planning skills. Skills in administering service/habilitation plans and programs. Train, guide, and oversee paraprofessional staff with confidence and clarity Track participant progress, maintain accurate documentation, and share meaningful updates with the interdisciplinary team Coordinate team efforts while providing direction on effective methods and best practices in the IDD field Build strong, respectful relationships with participants, families, community partners, and professionals across disciplines
Educational/Professional Qualifications:
Minimum qualification of a high school diploma Minimum of 2 years of full-time professional IDD program management experience or qualifying combination of experience and education Bachelor's degree in a human service field and two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated IDD experience with the population served or bachelor's degree in a field other than human services and four years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated IDD experience with the population, preferred.
