Stroke Program and Get with the Guidelines Coordinator

Summary:

The Stroke Program /Get with the Guidelines Onsite Coordinator is responsible for planning, directing, evaluating and improving the Primary Stroke Program; maintaining Joint Commission Stroke Center Certification, and assuring compliance with the Get with the Guidelines criteria to facilitate organizational benchmarking and best practice for our patients.

Responsibilities:

The Stroke Program Manager/Get with the Guidelines Onsite Coordinator partners with patients, families, employees, providers, community agencies and regulatory bodies to facilitate best practices aimed at meeting patient needs and complying with regulatory standards.

EDUCATION

Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, or equivalent clinical experience may be considered, master's degree in nursing preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years of acute care nursing experience; experience in critical care, ED, or neurology preferred. Demonstrates leadership and communication skill to work successfully in interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Excellent computer skills. Prior experience with fundamental quality improvement tools. Prior experience in program management and evaluation.

LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION

Current BLS certification. NIHSS certification to be obtained within one year.
